It’s easy to fall in and out of love with people around you. The worst that can happen is that you get hurt and move on. It’s harder to love yourself because the stakes get higher.

STEP #1: Go slow
The first of five steps is to start by having a conversation. You don’t have to start talking to yourself in the mirror or instantly pull out your camera for a self-appreciating selfie, just listen to yourself and do exactly as you please.
STEP #2: Take yourself out
After having a conversation, take yourself out on a date for coffee or a movie. You can even go shopping, but it is always preferable to take part in an activity that uses your mind as well as your body together.
STEP #3: Show affection
The third step is to show a little love and take care of yourself. Your body is your temple, and the only way to have a healthy and body is to eat, sleep and exercise right.
STEP #4: Stop looking around
Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Don’t envy another’s height, weight or temperament. Everyone is built differently and it’s unfair to put that much pressure on one single person.
STEP #5: Forgive and Forget
We all make mistakes and sometimes even screw up royally. That doesn’t mean that you keep riding yourself for the rest of your life. Your mental health is just as important as what you look like on the outside, so don’t forget to cut yourself some slack.
