Women have time and again been subjected to judgement, of gender stereotyping, of conscious and subconscious body shaming, and moral policing. This treatment has not failed to permeate all components of the society, and when these sort of statements are made, they are “for their better”. Women are supposed to just compromise with what they have.
No matter how progressive, there are still voices that curtail freedom, freedom of speech, of action, and even of thought.
