Nariyal Paani Festival


What: The first of many music festivals that happen all around the year, this is the third edition of Nariyal Paani, which merges music, art, and nature. From drum circles to reggae groups, this is a two-day musical fiesta.

Where: Find yourself in Alibaug on Morpada Beach. Bear in mind, the accommodation is primarily in tents.

When: January 21 and 22.

Jaipur Literature Festival


What: Only one of the oldest and most revered festivals for literature enthusiasts. Discuss everything from feminism, to politics, to Bollywood, and everything in between, with authors from around the globe.

Where: The festival takes place at the Diggi Palace in Jaipur

When: This five-day extravaganza starts on January 19 and ends on January 23.

Kochi Biennale


What: The ongoing arts festival in Kochi is an annual affair, with a number of curated artists at various venues across the city. What’s more, there are also movie screenings and art meditation events to go to!

Latin Getaway


What: It’s all about the Salsa! Join Bhavin and Soonruta, part of the Latin Dreamers Dance Project, this two-day event is a set of Salsa workshops and parties for those who want to up their dancing game.

Where: The workshop venues are located in Koregaon Park, Pune.

When: January 21 and 22.

What: Not to be confused with the music website, BandCamp is an innovative concept, that not only brings you music under the stars by some of India’s popular and indie acts, but also lets you camp out for the weekend. What’s more, the BandCamp Talkies every Saturday screens cult and classic films through the ages. What fun!

Where: Usually hosted at the U-Tan resorts in Uttan, just outside of Mumbai.

When: BandCamp happens every weekend this January – 13 and 14, 21 and 22 (in collaboration with Nariyal Paani) and 27 and 28.
